1. Pictures appear fuzzy on screen.
Click the Start menu
and go to Settings, Control
Panel, Display, Settings
- the recommended minimum Colour palette should be High
colour. This is also often called 16-bit colour or
64,000 colours. Higher settings may be used, but not lower
settings.
2. Pictures or text screens don't fit on PC screen.
Click the Start menu
and go to Settings, Control
Panel, Display, Settings.
The recommended minimum screen resolution is 800
x 600 pixels. Any less than that and some of the Garden
Detective windows will not fit on the screen.
3. Screen rotation causes Garden Detective to crash:
"Garden Detective has performed an illegal
operation - general protection fault in MACXW4.drv".
Click the Start menu
and go to Settings, Control
Panel, Display, Settings,
Advanced Properties, Performance,
and set Hardware Acceleration to minimum or none
(rather than maximum or full).
